Default A smallmouth i caught yesterday :D

wasn't too bad first smallie of the year measured 18 1/2 i caught her on a xrap in bout 15 foot of water off a point.

Wow....and the sky opened up, and the light shined down, and the heavenly hosts sang....

At least, that's what it looks like from that picture. Nice fish....

looks good.... wishin we had some smallies this far south, would make the winter fishing here better when the FL strain LMB refuse to move or bite for 3-6 months of the year.

lake james in the mountains 2.5 hours due west. nebo exit off I-40w head for the state park use the channal ramp..don't worry the end of that ramp is in 50 feet of water..

top water early. then switch to a shakey head -average clarity is 30+ feet..
proof nc has big smallies..

i have caught them in 110 feet of water on a popper..disapointment city if you go and try catching bass in the linville side...catawba side is the best bet..

Makes me want to go smallie fishing-believe it or not I have a lake about 30n miles north that has a good smallie population in it. Not bad for South Central Texas!
