A little rain won't hurt nobody.....
Got out a week ago and snapped a few pics when I was fishing. No fish pics but I did notice that the lilly pads were waterproof!!! I did catch one that weighed in around 4lbs. Don't have the photo yet. Best fish I've caught on a swim bait though .

Great day but poor fishing. Very limited bite related to about 1/2 hour on incoming tide and slow bite on low outgoing. A very slow 5 hours in between. Really only thing to do was take pics of the cover since we weren't catching nothing.
Need to get the secret from Capt. Mike. That's his home turf right there! Last edited by 3dkicker; 09-22-10 at 03:34 PM. |

OK 3d let me help you out...
The LGMouth are relating to summer menhaden about six off of your pads. Crazy I know but try a shad rap in this color to score. http://www.rapala.com/assets/images/...had_rap_sd.png This has always worked for me outside the structure. Capt Mike

Saw plenty of baitfish off the main channel back there so it probably would have been the right pattern. Flood tides put plenty of water back over the grass and pads but the bait stayed out. Charlie was on the trolling motor so I fished were I could. Great looking stuff back there! Haven't been back there in a little while.
Tuesday midweek took 8.5 to win. Small limit on custom craw chatterbait over/in grass in Mattawoman. |
