What kinda bass is this?
A friend of mine down in Bama caught this bass in a little creek. Looks like smallie to me because of the dorsal fin, and eye. But with the sports, I'm not 100% sure. So, what kinda bass!

Real tough angle. Either a alabama spotted bass or a redeye bass. The key feature of the redeye is white edges along the tail fin, and I just cant see here. I think its an alabama spot. Nice fish.

Im with these guys, neither one is a smallmouth, but being as i have never fished in alabama, my experience with coosa bass and shoal bass is limited... so it could be those.

I ain't never heard of a "Redeye" bass....Nor a shoal bass for that matter, but yesterday my fishing partner caught what appeared to be a largemouth, by color and by pattern, but it had red eye's just like a smallmouth, and its lower jaw didn't extend beyond the eye. My first thought was it was some kind of hybrid smallmouth/largemouth, but I honestly don't know.
So for those of you that know more about these fish, please shed some more light on the subject of these "Redeye'd" bass for me please.
