Default Bad day fishing

Well fishing was slow but good but I broke my St. Croix Avid flipping stick. Jig fishing in the creek channel,The jig had to sit for a while in one spot but they pick it up and run with it.I set the hook and heard a pop, about 8 inches of the rod tip broke off.It wasn't a big fish, maybe 2 1/2 lber but its the end to a long string of fish for that rod.I remember that I hated that rod 7 years ago while talking about it here, but I never got rid of it.P N J

So let me get this straight. You went fishing. You hooked a fish. During the hook set, you broke a rod that you said you hated. Tell me again WHY this was a "bad" day fishing? Unless that was your only rod with you, I am confused as to how it was a bad day fishing.

Still under warranty? If you didn't like it and it broke, sell it!

At least ya got a few JP, I'd do anything right now for a 2 1/2 pounder!
