I totally agree, It immediatly changed my mind on the boat. I also knew there had to be something wrong when I was told the price of boat/motor.

When I went to look at the boat I was thinking, man this dude doesnt even know what he has, this is sooo mine. When I was told he did know what he had, i immediatly felt like a dube for not automatically knowing something was terribly wrong.

97 fiberglass boat with 04 110 4 stroke for $4,500

Do legal issues absolutely have to mean stolen?

I know many people who have motors that they genuinley purchased who have lost titles or whatever and cannot get replacements.

What kind of "legal" issues are we talking about.
