Default New (old) boat have a question

I just recently acquired a 93 Cajun 150 with a 60hp Johnson. On the dash is a pull switch that is labled fuel. Now the boat will start no matter which position the switch is in. Does anybody have an idea what this would be for.

Thanks,

Tex

Are you sure it doesn't read "FILL", on some of those early 90 models I know that there is a pull knob for the livewells that switches the valves from open to closed and vice versa...and there's typically a knob near it that reads "EMPTY"...never seen a knob labeled 'FUEL'

Thanks guys. Well it's not the choke, at least pretty sure, I think that is accomplished by pushing in the key. I have a pull switch for the aerator, both front and back. It does not work, I need to check the pump. If anyone knows it would be great to find out.
Thanks

Choke is definately in the key switch. OMC has had that setup for years now. Actually I cant imaginek what that switch is. It does sound like the previous owner has added the switch. Does it look like the rest of the switches on the panel. If it doesnt your gonna have to trace the line back and see where it hooks up , then I can be more specific.

I can post a picture later. But it is a factory switch, at least it looks like all the others and is mounted in line with them. Thanks for your reply.

This is a longshot, but the pressure washer at work has a switch which is a fuel cutoff switch. I don't think thats what we are talkin about here, but its worth mentioning. Just cause the switch is in the panel doesnt mean its functioning or even hooked up anymore.
