Default We finally bought a boat!

As some of you may know, we recently pruchased our new boat. It's a 2001 Tracker Super Guide 16'

The guys that did know wanted pics, so here ya go:

It's only got a 15hp motor because they fished a 9.9 only lake and had 9.9 stickers on it. It's got a livewell, baitwell, 43lb Motorguide TM, two DF's: a hummingbird at the console and an eagle on the bow, and low hours. Should be perfect for the fishin' we'll be doing.

Beautiful boat. The 15 on the back is so small looking it cracks me up though. You'll still catch tons of fish with that and should be proud. And if you want, some time in the future that 15 should hold on to its value pretty well, you could probably sell it and upgrade to a 40.

Probly a baitwell. Or a toilet, should you really have to go. It doubles as both. Sound engineering, I tell you.

Bama, the round things you're asking about are called "tires." They were invented fairly recently as a way to transport people or objects more easily from cave to cave, versus dragging it with your mastodon.

You've gotta keep up with the times a little better, old man.

I know, it cracks me up too when I'm looking at the pictures. We hope to eventually upgrade to a 40 or 50.

JB, these pics are at the guy's house in Columbus. but it pretty much looks like that here too though. It's all farm land west of Toledo.

well, bad news. MY dad's truck get horrible gas milage and we wouldn't be able to drive to Columbus and back like that so he decided to change his spark plugs. After removing 4 (of 6) he couldn't get one loose. After a while we moved on to the last one and couldn't get it loose. we figured the 4 we changes would help. When we started the truck, it blew out one of the spark plugs and left the metal end part still in the motor...

Now he can't start his truck, can't drive it, can't take me to school tomarrow, can't get himself to work tomarrow, and more importantly, can't get our boat.

By the way, we ARE already asking people if we could borrow their cars/trucks, but like my dad said, maybe a place 30mins away wouldn't be bad, but it's 300 miles round trip to c-bus.

Well we've finally got some good news. We talked to the guy we bought the boat form and he said if we paid for gas he'd bring the boat up to us.

He is going to be bringing it tomarrow (Sunday), and now I'm really excited again.

Well good news... finally... The guywe bought it from was going to a baseball game today and it got cancelled so he brought the boat up to us today! I'm so excited I can't wait to go out in it. We just have to get it liscensed, get liscense plates for the trailer, etc. Then get some safety stuff like flare, fire extinguisher, etc. Then we can go fish. I hope to be out by next weekend.
