Lizards, you can always type your post in your pc's notebook and then copy and paste into the forum, that way if you loose it , you can always go back to the notebook and recopy...that happens all the time on our hometown forum(eatonlink), and has happend here to me once, but not very often
As far as the fla fishing, I know you'll figure out the structure in no time!
Must be exciting..

And REB,
NICE FISH!
Hell, I thought you were in high school...good to see a pic of ya and some killer lunkers...I need to retire and move south..I can see that already..

Actually Lizards, I replied to you in a PM where I said it looked like it was closer to 27 inches...and I said that can't be right...well I now think it must be....and heres good evidence....

Now what I did was, the white ruler is clearly visible, the numbers werent readible but they indicate inches. So, I took those inches and used them as a bench mark to create a digital ruler so to speak - then pasted the ruler on the fish.....the number you end up with is 27 1/2 inches. Since the fish is a little bit closer to the camera than the ruler it might estimate the fish as being larger by a half inch or so, but bottom line is that fish should be certified right where Lizards said it is...

Nope, no Ike yelling, but it was a "holy sh!t", and "WOW" look at that to the other boat nearby on the first one. You can probably catch 10-12 of them down here in florida in a week, as good as you are Sorry you can't fish, but anytime you come down south I'll take you anytime, even if it means telling my boss to shove it Actually all the fish were caught on (I know I'm gonna regret this) Quatum spinning Pulse 40 models, one rod was a St Croix 7'Heavy rod for the shiner fish, and a 6'6"MH St Croix for the fluke fish. Not a one came on all those pretty Shimano's I have LMAO.

Thanks a lot. I know if many of you guys were down here, you would also have the same chances as I do, and several would probaly catch that double digit bass. The fact is I happen to be in a position right now, that allows me to fish a whole bunch. The more time on the water the better the odds of catching one.

i believe Lizards 125%. Those fish are MONSTERS and it wouldn't even need a measurement to tell me those fish are huge.

i seen the pictures of the bass taken on a tape on messure. there is NO QUESTION in my mind that that those fat girls weighes any thing less than lizzy's stated weight. no dout about it. 11.27 pounds is going to take a real toad to beat it.-dout if i could do it happen i wanted to- now if lizzy would just post that in the tourny forum..

please note as far as i know golden rule does NOT make a rule over 24" lizzy's is and 18".
to be honest i know a good bass would be caught but dam ifin i thought it would be a huge old toad. you done real well there lizzy, proud of ya hoss...

Congratulations! Those are some dandy fish. Glad to here that you have some time out on the water.
By the way, the Pinnacle reel and Shimano rod you sold me last year are working great. Thanks again.

Glad you're liking the rod and reel. Hopefully you can hook one like these with it. Haven't seen you around in awhile, hope life is treating you well.

Very nice fish. I see that you are adapting down here rather well. Keep catching hogs like that and we may have to pull that yankee tag early.

Yes I've used jigs, but no the flippin stick hasn't come out, I use a 7' Heavy rod, instead of the 7'6" rod, because the length is a problem on the way my boat is setup. You actually stand down about 18"-2' below the top of the boat. I use it when on any fiberglass fishing boats though, or one that has a casting deck anyway, which mine doesn't.

16' Fishermarine Aluminum. You can see in the pics, how it's basically a glorified john boat, but it gets me to the fish usually

I can stand up, and I do a lot. However when your rod is longer than you, and your recessed down, another 1.5'-2' Pitching is pretty difficult with a long rod. And while were on the topic, sitting down is to me the easiest and best way to get a good angle on skipping plastics under docks, and tree limbs, which I love to do. Another note, is my boat is very narrow, and pretty unstable when your standing. It's long, but real narrow.
