Question Shimano Stradic CI4
I was looking at these today at Gander Mountain and they only had one. It had a display sign that said Crappie. Is this a crappie reel ? It looked considerably smaller than the normal spinning reels I am used to. I know they make differant model numbers , but are they all that small ?
On a side note , Gander Mountains dont seem to be very well organized. I found shakey head jig head hooks in 3 differant places , not even close together. I had a hard time finding the size worms I wanted as well , they were just kinda scattered. They carry the Spro rattlebaits , but no crankbaits ?? WTF , seems like a good place to open a tackle shop to me. |

Were you looking at a standard C14 or a micro line C14? The standard has a 1000 size with a 7 lb drag. They also have a 2500 size that would be better suited for bass fishing, it has a 15 lb drag. The micro line C14 is only available in the 1000 size and it is billed as being an ultra light panfish or trout reel. They built it with their power pro micro lines in mind. It has a max drag of 5 lbs.

CMorg I just bought a CI4 in the 2500 size from Reeds. I paid $159 with free shipping. They only come in the 1000 and 2500 size. I am matching it with a Kistler Argon 7ft med light. The only thing I have to do is find a good line to spool up with.
The Gander where I shop has a small selection of cranks but has almost all of the Rapala lures. Matter of fact the Rapalas take up a whole isle. This time of the year they rearrange the fishing dept. In the spring they restock and extend the fishing items.
