Micro Guide Tip Tops
To all of you custom rod building guys/girls on this forum............and to the guys/girls that know more than me.
Is there a company that offers 3mm micro guides with a matching 3mm tip top? The tip tops seem to run bigger on most brands (fuji, american tackle). I know it isn't a problem to put a larger tip top on the end, but I would like to keep them the same if I can. Thanks for any leads. Tony |

To the best of my knowledge, a 4 is the smallest tip you can get and I've looked everywhere. I think a 7 is the largest tube size you can get in a micro top.

This something we've been asking for for a while. There are more offerings coming out but still limited. As a work around, you can split the tube on a small tip-top to fit it onto the heavier tip. You can also tie a running guide on the tip in place of an actual tip-top. Performance wise, using the smallest tip-top that will fit your blank is fine.

All I could find was a 4 too. I sent a message to a Fuji dealer and he told me the same thing DVT Mike said. You throwing silk strand on there hahahahaha. Sounds like it is a waiting game or go with 4s.
