My Son's first on a Texas rig
Took the boy out to High Rock Lake this morning. After missing a nice fat bass on a spinner bait, my son shows me up by catching this one on a texas rig worm. Go figure.........

thats awesome...did he get to feel the thump thump or was it just one of those where all of a sudden he is on there and u have no idea how he got there...lol

Yeah, he felt the tap. He set the hook like a pro. I was very proud of him. I am also glad I found a rig that he can catch fish with and not snag up every five minutes....... I did almost catch the sinker in the head a few times though.

nothing better than being able to fish with your kids man and you will eventually catch the sinker or hook it just kinda happens .

Way to go. Seeing the kids catch fish is the biggest reward I know of.

hopefully i'll get something like this tomorrow. most likely be my little brothers first bass.
idr him ever doing any real fishing. considering i had to show him how to cast a spinning reel without hitting the ground 5ft in front of him congrats man!
