A failure to communicate

At 10:30 on Saturday I got a text from my oldest son. "Hey, can I get $20 to go to the movies"
I took a look outside before responding "Sure, after the grass is cut"
At 1:00 pm I get the following text "Are you done with the grass yet so I can come get the money"

So in my son's mind, I told him that I would give him $20 after "I" cut the grass. I wanted to be mad, but it was rather funny.
I have learned that my son may not be the brightest, but he is far braver than I ever was at his age.

Now thats some funny stuff right there, hahahaha. I've learned at work when it comes to tellin the young employees anything, ya have to be VERY specific, hahaha. Almost gotta hold their hands sometimes.

While I did end up cutting the grass, it was either that or buy a goat, he didn't get the money he wanted. So I guess neither he nor I won in that deal
