Dang man, thats a beautiful walleye, both size and color. Never seen a green back one like that. Caught in that cold water, I bet the fillets will be awsome tablefare!

Never seen anything like that. Big fish, good job.
Any more info on what it is? And other random facts? (size, diet, area found). Jus curious.

Great pic too!

coldbasser, don't ever let me hear you complain about cold weather.
Great job and great fun. Beautiful fish!
Jigging darters or what were you using? Details please.
I think my SOUTHERN friends want to hear what winter fishing is all about!
How'd you get the boat in?

Thanks for sharing!

It's a Walleye lake winnipeg produces emerald green walleyes (sandstone lake) 11lbs 2ozs trophey fish, I released it and kept a limit of 6 fish in the 2 - 4 lbs range. Great meal! Smelt and shinner minnows are the primary forage. I caught my fish with a 1/4oz flasher jig
can't wait to get out again
Cold is a state of mind, just ask my wife Kim,
Thanks for the comments
Rick

PS THE KEG IS GREAT SO IS EARLS AND TONY TOMATO'S , What brings you up to Winnipeg?

I usually go up there every couple of months to visit Boeing, MacDon and a few other customers I have there. I think I've been to Earls but I also like Moxie's too...
