Humminbird was awarded the Best New Electronics for the new 1158c DI Model. THat features Down Imaging, Switchfire 2D Sonar and GPS Mapping. These new models will be released in 2012. Also announced was the 858c DI and 998c DI.

I will definitely purchase a few of these. I have only been Drop Shotting for about 2 weeks and I can already tell you that the twists are a PITA

I don't understand what's new about the hummingbird, will someone so kindly inform me, I don't even see side imaging.

It is a New Model the 1158c DI it features Down Imaging with Switchfire 2D Soanr and GPS Mapping. This is new model that increases the 1100 Series with the current 1158c Switchfire 2D and GPS Mapping, and the 1198c Side Imaging, Down Imaging, Switchfire 2D Sonar and GPS Mapping. So there are now 3 models for 2012 in the 100 Series Line Up.

Plus the new units with be NEMA 2000 Compatible, Can work with Ethernet Hub System for multiple unit networking, Radar can be added to aid in Navigation and help find birds.
