Default Monkey Snack

So I had $13 left on a Bass Pro gift card and the monkey was hungry, so I kept him at bay with this bad boy. Tru-Tungsten Mad Maxx Frog! First off the frog looks amazing, it has great looking non painted eyes. The colors they come in are pretty good(not as many as the Spro, but still good).

The hooks are really sharp, and you can run your fingers over them until the body is smooshed with the least amount of pressure possible. Then the hook is half way into your finger

I like the idea of the drain hole, but I haven't fished the frog yet (just got it in the mail 5 min ago and it's raining) so we shall see about how well that works.

The rattle inside is a nice touch, but not very loud.

In conclusion, I'm very pleased with my purchase, but I can't give a complete review until it sees some action. Basically its a Spro frog with a few upgrades.

good looking frog. spro makes the bronze eye in a color very close to that and it's probably my favorite color for most conditions.

one thing i would do though is trim about a half inch off those legs. they look long and it would help the frog walk better and eliminate a lot of short strikes.

I was thinking of doing that very thing on mine. I got several hits that i felt were short strikes.
Really like the Mad Max although I've only tried it once, so far, and didn't get any bass to the boat

Oh I planned on trimming the legs down a little just like on a Spro. And I'm fishing it Sat for sure.
