oh I love night fishing, but preferably with no wind or at least very little wind. nothing sucks worse than getting your reel/line tangled up at night time because the wind blew your line around too much while you were reeling in. The temps are right and the fishing conditions are more favorable for topwater too and that's ALWAYS a PLUS! Just have to use a good bug spray depending on what part of the country your in. Make sure to keep it off your hands as it turns the fish off. However, if you're coming to florida in Late August, or anytime during the summer that its been very rainy, be prepared to have bug spray, and quite possibly those respritory masks that cover your mouth and nose.....seriously, misquitos can be that bad. Found myself on rodman last year chocking on Misquitos unless I had my shirt over my mouth/nose. They aren't that thick all the time, but certain times and under the right conditions the bugs can overwhelm you more than the snake and gators.......yall think I'm jokin.

If you fish a clear lake then night fishing in the summer would "perhaps" be the way to go.
The fish move shallow at night. Be carefull of stumps, floating items, make sure that you know were your at ref. the landing. This is of course if your in a boat.

Night fishing for saltwater is defenitely the way to go. Fish anywhere with currrent with cutbait/shrimp/crab and you're guaranteed some redfish or black drum and its likely that you'll also catch some snapper. Best fishing I've ever had in my life came night fishing a tidal river in the everglades during winter, too cold for bugs, the drum were biting and putting up some great fights.

Been spending a lot of time at night lately, earlier in the year was catching more at night than during the day, here lately it's been terrible at night, except for the lack of boats!

Gotta agree w/ everything rodman posted. However where I fish you run into crap in the middle of the day. Not sure if I would like to fish the Stick Marsh at night. If Lizzie will go, Ill give it a try. Sly smile erupts as I finish that sentence.

I prefer fishing day due to the visiblitly factor.
But there is nothing better than a bass exploding on your topwater at night |

No gator chaps that I know of. I've gone before, just learned not to lean over and try to lip anything.
