Question on painted lures
For those of you who have custom painted crankbaits, should the original paint be removed before the lure is custom-painted? Does it matter?

sand it, whitecoat (black coat for silver). As long as you have a solid basecoat, should be fine. sanding is important though. paint needs something to grip onto

I love using House of Kolors Pearl white for my basecoat. It works great for coming from a rattlecan.

Fishnet stockings work great for a scale pattern on your bait.
