How sensitive are these ? I picked up one at Gander and they seem really light for a 30$ rod...

A buddy of mine has one... they are probably a decent rod for the price, but they are way under rated in terms of power.... he had a 6'6" Medium, and it felt more like a light power.

I played with one at the store and your right it seems real lite. I ended up buying a lightning Shock med 6'6. This seemed to have a more heavy action than the amp. Picked up the rod at Cabela's for 39.00 plus a rebate from factory. I like the rod for lighter jig and creature baits. Both are decent rods for the money.

They are a little light feeling but they are fine with a fish on. Put a good reel on one and you can cast little light lures a long way.

I was kinda skeptical on buying a berkley rod, but i ended up buyin a 6'6" med lightning shock rod at cabelas store. The guy at the checkout line said he used to field test rods and he said he liked the berkley rods and good value for the money.
