Default Snake baits?

Anyone fish big worms without a weight like a snake? Some of the guys around here use them in the summer time.....they throw them on secondary points and docks.

Ya I used that bait, a company called black mamba I think they work quite well ,just don't make them too long you might miss some really big hits,I usually put a stinger hook to wards the back but try not to wreck the action.

I have used 10-12" worms but not snakes. We fish em weightless off points and carolina and tx rig em deep at night off bluffs, points and at the dam. Caught some fish over 11 lbs at night using em. When you fish em you don't really seem to catch anything small... mostly bigger fish on them.

but, wait to set the hook, give the bass a couple seconds or until the second or third tug. that is a pretty big meal for a bass so it takes some time to get it in his mouth.
