Default solar shower

Has anyone used a solar shower? I see Gander has one for around $100 and Dicks has one that is not solar for $24. The one from Dick's requires a seperate water bag for $10. The reason is here in Pa some of the parks have been closed due to low funds. I have a camp but no shower and we used to drive to the camp grounds for our showers. I was just wondering if they are worth the cost?

bob i don't know how the solar shower does man, but bac in the day..we had 2 55 gal drums attached to the top of an old school bus we converted into a make shift camper. this was with my frist wifes dad and his bro-in-law. we would park to where the drums were in the sun. filled em with water first. but they wouldn't get real hot, but warm enough to take a decent shower with. we painted them black on the outside so it would draw more heat to it. i would think that they would work fine, like i said...may not be like coming outta water heater, but wouldn't be freezing cold either.

Solar showers are a great investment. I had one, a self-contained unit, that I used almost daily for about a year (I was living in El Salvador at the time). I don't recall my exact unit but it held five gallon. On one interior side, it had some kind of sun-magnifying material. In the morning, I'd fill it with collected rain water, let it sit all day in the sun, and by evening time I had a perfectly warm shower. NICE!
