As I Got Up This Morning, I Was Eager To Try Out My New Pflueger Low Profile President Baitcaster. So I Put It On A Shimano 6'6" Rod. It Was Very Overcast. I Tried A Popper Early In The Morning And Nothing Was Happening, Caught A Little Dink On It But Thats It. Switch To A Buzz Bait, Nothing. Then I Tied On A Zara Spook Jr, Then The Party Started. My First Cast Landed Me A 2 Pounder. Over The Next Two Hours Or So I Caught 13 Fish, All Were Over 13 Inch. I Went 30 Minutes Without A Strike, Then I Moved To Some Shallower Water With A Lot Of Stumps, I Landed A 4 Pounder, Biggest Of The Day. Two Casts Later I Caught A 5 Pounder. Theres Was Only One Problem! !!!!!!! I For Got To Keep All The Other Fish. I Totally Forgot About The November Tourney. I Mad But Happy At The Same Time, I Will Have A Pic Of The 5 Pounder Shortly, Waiting For My Mom to email me so i can To Post The Pic.

That's a heck of a day in my book, congrats. Sorry you didn't get in the tourney but it still doesn't make your day catching those fish any less. Way to go, and keep it up.

somewhere along 20, 21 inches, thats an estimate though,it took 15 min, to get the hook out, so i had to take the pic quick,

theres no way to tell, but there was a feather on the zara spook. it was one of fish on's,maybe thats why he struck it, but we will never know
