Sounds like you had a real good day. That puppy spook is one awsome topwater bait. I use 12lb test on my topwater stuff, with 6 1/2 med to a mh bait caster. Were you walking the dog with the spook? If you have never walked the dog. It's real easy to do with a little practice. It will get you more strikes. Well so much for me telling you how to do it, you seem to have it down pat. Now go get another one. Good fishing.

What do you think of that fireline KH compared to other braids? Got to use that stuff on Saturday in the salt and loved it compared to my mono. Going to spool up on it today.

umm, this is what i did. fish on, a member on this site, sent me some feather trebles to put on some poppers. instead i put one on a zara spook. i think it helped, its definate that it helped the bait from popping up,the wheight made it stay parrelel to the ground. which caused better action, and sharper hooks

I hope you're exagerating here, there is no reason to have a fish out of the water for 15 minutes, especially a nice fish like that. Please keep a pair cutters handy and cut the hook if you gotta too. If that fish was out of the water 15 minutes I doubt it survived.

yeah i was, around 6,7,8 minutes, understand i was fishing my around my neighbors dock, i quickly took the picture and let it free, it stayed there for a while on the bootom and i was mad at myself for not letting it loose earlier, then after a while i came back to check on it, it was there, but quickly went off, so im pretty sure it survived

btw, how do quote a little coment like you did instead of quoting the whole post

You do just what you did(hit the quote button), but go back and delete the parts you don't want, between the quote marks.

Do you use a Florocarbon leader or just tie straight on?
