Default H2O Baits

I know that this is a topic that we have visited in the past. I however don't know if anyone ever posted any pictures of these baits. I think these are some of the best valued baits on the market. They have an incredible finish, run good out of the box and have descent hooks. Keep in mind that the cranks run about 4 dollars each, swimbaits are about 7, and the jerbaits are are around 5. I don't think you can find a better deal for baits that look this great. You can only purchase these at Acadamy Sports and they do not do online sales at this time. But if you are lucky enough to know someone in OK, or TX they can probably help you out.

My photography skills do not do these baits justice, they are much more detailed and vivid in your hand.

Tav, just ship them to me, I'd be happy to take some good pictures of them for you... You just might not get them back!

That's a real Lucky Craft, but the H2O baits look so similar. It wouldn't surprise me if the rumors of them being made by the same manufacturer that makes the LCs is true.

They really are great baits. The jerkbaits you have pictured are the deep baits, they also have shallow jerkbaits. I don't think you will find better crankbaits anywhere for the money. All baits come with black nickel VMC hooks.

I've heard lots of rumors about Academy's online sales starting up early in 2011, I guess we'll see.

Here's a few more pics.

Ive had good luck on ky lake with the lucky craft look alikes, the swimbaits look real and the finish is tops ,the deep jerkbait i also have but have yet to have the proper time spring to use them, dont seem to have a lot of action but may be me,color is great as well as finish and that blue and chrome is the color here in early part of the year.
Think my lucky craft jerkbaits wont be replaced by them, but will have to try the shallow jerkbait, the lookalikes as well as the swimbaits yeah and a lot cheaper.
I get mine off ebay

I like the deep jerkbaits in the colder part of the year. I can work them slow and they have enough action to intice sluggish fish. I usually use a twitch twitch pause action and a lot of the strikes come on the pause as the bait is suspending. I usually have the best luck when I am patient and let the bait pause for around 5 sec., it is hard to make yourself fish this slow if you are like me, but there are some rewards to be had.

Jrob, thanks for the follow-up, I have been lucky enough to get my hands on a few of these baits, but your post shows the variety that H2O has.

I wish I had the ability and equipment to take as nice of pictures as you. For now you guys will have to make do with my pics, because if I send you my baits, it will most def. set the monkey on high alert.

I am definitely going to have to stock back up this winter. I lost a lot of baits this year. I will have to pick up some of the deep jerkbaits for cold water fishing.

H20 also has a line of spinnerbaits and jigs that both look pretty good, I haven't tried any of them yet though. I've had pretty good luck with the frogs too, they cost about $4 and look very similar to the Spro frogs.

I am lucky enough to have 4 Academy stores within 20 minutes of me, I go there more than I should.

I think the smaller shallow baits go to 4' or 5' and the deeper small baits go to like 10'. I will find out for sure and get back to you.

I almost exclusively use H2O cranks and I wouldnt trade them for a Lucky craft. Their spinnerbaits are also excellent quality and they have EXCELLENT swimbaits.

I went on a research trip to Academy, they do make the smaller size crank that runs 4'-6', it is called Model M. They also have a cranking shad bait that runs the same depth. I also saw a new jerkbait that has the larger body of the suspending baits but is a floater. They only had it in one color, a new color, gizzard shad.

The offer stands Tony.

They are nice baits and on the blue collar price of things. I have also heard that they are manufactured in the same place the LCs are. I have been wanting to try to deep jerks too. How well do the suspended jerkbaits, well, suspend? It would beat paying 8 or 9 bucks for the Rapalas.

I was in Texas for a whole week for Thanksgiving and couldnt find the freakin time to go to Academy. I was on a mission to buy some of teh H2O shallow cranks... and failed miserably... My wifes grandmother did express interest in gettin me a few as christmas gifts... but i am afraid with all the selections available, she may get confused...

Those cranks look good. I've seen their jigs literally fall apart after one cast.

The cranks are good. But I have heard from several that the jigs and spinnerbaits are poor quality.

Yeah, that was my jig Mike watched fall apart, LOL.

For the record, the skirts that come on the h20 jigs are garbage!
