they don't "digest" it. They will swallow them if they find them in the water, and from what I know, they just take up space in the bass' stomach. Sometimes this doesn't appear to effect the fish at all, and other times it can almost starve the fish to death because it feels full but really hasn't eaten at all.
Regardless of what happens, its never a good idea to throw hooks, baits, or any sort of fishing line into the water to get rid of it. I try to keep all my used up stuff such as hooks and the like in my tackle box and throw those away when I get home. For plastic worms, I just put them in my pocket or a plastic bag and throw them in a trash can nearby somewhere. |

If you have ever take a fish from the live well after a day of running it around in the boat, you will find its stomache contents are usually in the bottom of the live well. I would say that they must be able to throw up to get rid of unwanted debri they might accidently eat and can't digest. P N J

How do bass digest crawfish?? Do htey throw the shell up or something, becasue if a bass can digest crawfish shells, it should be able to digest a hook , right??
