I shoot competitive skeet and sporting clays. I'm big time into upland hunting, waterfowl hunting and training bird dogs and still find time to fish almost every weekend. Dang I need a cheaper list of hobbies.

I almost forgot.. one of my hobbies became my career. I love airplanes. Anything and everything about them. Luckily I was able to get a career flying em. So I go to work every day where I am surrounded by the sounds and smells of aviation. I sit in my office in a hangar with my Fender Strat, listen to airplanes, and talk on teh forums with you guys about fishing, and my gun forums... so all my hobbies are in play at once...
i just realized how good i really got it... |

fishing, hunting, motorcycles...the list goes on. Tracking money at www.wheresgeorge.com. I like seeing where money goes and comes from...the travels it goes through during its life cycle. I wish it could really talk.

Snorkeling and freshwater aquariums are on the top of my list right now. I used to have motorcycles.
I've also had a lifelong passion for aviation, and I'm moving to Atlanta in a few weeks to finally try and put my A&P mechanics license to use, and maybe someday become a pilot. |

My hobbies are pretty much all fishing related these days. Rod building, fishing, tackle hoarding and bassfishin.com take up most of my free time. I am a gun enthusiast, hunter and.... a couch potato also. My previous "hobbies" were nothing but trouble, so I enjoy my peaceful, "boring" life now.

My garden this year has yielded one pepper, one little carrot, a little lettuce and one tomato. No cucumbers, no eggplant, and the rabbit ate all the carrots. I may get another tomato. I'm thinking it was a waste of time........
I did venture into a gem mine in NC not too long ago. Found some good stones and having one faceted. We'll see if it was worth the trip and $$. Enjoyed the little vacation. I did purchase some black opal too. Not as much fun as finding it. Is dumping 10 ton of gravel in the driveway (and yard) and shoveling it around a hobby??? |

I like to build and fly model airplanes (also my job). And just finished getting my private license last week and starting my instrument rating (hopefully will help me in getting a new job or be my job).

I think the hawk I saw a couple weeks ago ate the rabbit that used to come out and eat grass in my yard. I also had 3 or 4 squirrels in my yard all the time this spring. They've disappeared too. Next door neighbor says there's an owl visiting the yard at night as well. Doesn't look good if you're a small mammal living in my yard

Smitty, I'll check. Really all I collect now is Cal Ripken. Haven't bought any boxes or packs for about 10 years now.

Hey Bassinbob the BassinBandit has a lot of Cal Ripken cards and other things like a starting lineup figure from the 80's. He also has alot of John Elway stuff.

Combining Hobbies
I forgot to mention one more of my hobbies (and another expensive one... ) - Herps (as in reptiles and amphibians).
But one thing I really like is being able to combine some of my hobbies, mostly photography with the others. Classic Cars Custom 1969 Camaro SS by PhotoRebel4, on Flickr Fishing Lucky Craft Crankbait by PhotoRebel4, on Flickr Herps. My Python regius (Ball Python). Python regius (Ball Python) by PhotoRebel4, on Flickr Don't mind the watermark, that's the name I use on a photography forum . BB

Very cool.......fishing, snakes, cars, and photography.
Just make sure you don't mix up the Herps with Herpes.....some people might get the wrong idea . |
