Default Line-through crankbaits

I saw this on W2F and thought it was interesting. They are line through crankbaits that aren't attatched to the hook. This is supposed to offer two advantages, 1st, the fish can't gain any leverage because the bait slides up the line and 2nd, if snagged, the bait will float free, minus the hooks.

Not sure how well this would actually work but it sounds like a reasonable idea in theory.
