Making the monkey list
Well now that I have the new job lined up, my wife has given me the green light (when the severance check arrives) to make a BPS run. I get to finally use a couple of gift cards and also add some of my own cash to it.
The question is, has anyone on here used the BPS Nitro combos? I want to use it as a frog rod and also for some of my smaller (4 and 5 inch) swim baits. It got great reviews on the BPS site (5 Stars from 15 reviews), but that has not always been accurate. I am also debating between another Revo or a Johhny Morris. I have and love both. Other than that, the list is the basics. SwimBaits, plastics, line, hooks, etc....

ummm you could help the aspiring pro fishermen out here in SC and pick up: some sweet beavers, 4inch TT, 4 inch BBZ, some power pro, a new revo, and some spinnerbaits
just pm me for colors just kidding..... but it would be nice

Well, the list does have two of the TT 4" on it, but I have plans for those already. I also want to try out the strike king king kong. No powerpro on the list, but I am picking some invizix and seaguar.
The revo vs JM reel will be settled by sale price when it is time to actually go and get it. Price along with which ever one feels better on whatever rod I end up getting will be the final determination. I have the wish list saved and it accounts for about 75% of the money I have to spend on it. I figure that gives me some room for the bait monkey to have a say while I am there

Well, I have one of each already and both are great reels for me. The Revo has more crank power, but the Morris Signature reel outcasts it by a mile. I also like the dual brakes on the JM, but the revo is a little smaller. all of that being said, I am not complaining about the choice.

Haven't looked at the Nitro since the handle on all those reels is on the wrong side, and since I don't like BPS rods that much. Check out the Shimano Crucial swimbait rods, I've heard they're good.
As for the reels, I love my revo and my Johnny morris signature reel. Can't go wrong with a Daiwa either. The zillions are extremely nice reels. And so are those rods now that I mention it....... BB

Careful, BB...that tickle you're feeling in your wallet is the bait monkey's fingers.

Revo is discounted right now at BPS but still overpriced. Don't forget the sunglasses that are offered with the reel. Friend of mine likes the J.Morris too.
