Default The blank spaces

Has anyone noticed our discussion of posts on this sight, i think they have merit. If you notice 8 of the 10 add spaces are empty on the forum part of this sight. WHY....

Please, get off the subject - his business model, his practices, his support, the quality of his information, his haircut or lack thereof or whatever. Its his business. Its also the middle of a depression and you are talking about someone elses site at 4:40 in the morning - and the supposed lack of advertising it has even though he has more sponsors on the front page.

Anyways, you are about a post away from going on my ignore list and probably a lot of others once they get up. You arent that hard to deal with.

I did not post this to be negative, I posted to say we as anglers have a voice, I think a page that shows our voice should be a page they want to sponsor. I think this page should be full, more then others with sponsors.

You are trying to attribute some value to the amount of sponsors he has and I have already shown you that your original concerns were unfounded because:

A) He has more sponsors than you thought

and

B) Even if he had zero sponsors it would not indicate anything about either the value or perceived value of this site. Sponsors are determined by profitablity derived from advertising. Website ads are not that profitable in general. Having too many web banners also can decrease exposure. Too many banners or popups will even turn off some visitors and possible members. I am a member of several different types of boards and its the same all around. Kevin probably has the best balance I have seen on a board.

So, again, you are discussing a non issue and I am (for the moment) trying to be nice and discuss the lack of merit of your original post without being too dismissive, but...this topic should in all honesty be dismissed as garbage.

Did this dude get drunk again? STAY AWAY FROM THE BOOZE DUDE! This is just like when you get drunk and call your friends, aka drunk dialing. But this dude has a bad case of drunk typing...

Please... like I said this was not a negative post, all I was saying is that a forum of people that love fishing should be what the sponsors want, so why is it the spaces are blank.

Cause Kevin owns the site and wants it that way.

Now that I settled that, I am putting you on ignore cause you are a troll with just a slightly different schtick. I hope others dont spend too much time ripping on you when they wake up, its really not worth the effort.

WTL, because Kevin wants it that way, really, if I owned the sight I would want all my advertising full. Mostly my forum, the people that believe in me and discuss what I have to offer and what others in the bass field have to offer. Like I said this was not a negative post, sorry you took it for that.

Kevin Just started the new site not too long ago. He also has LOTS of advertising spaces to fill. Give him and future sponsors time, and they'll be filled.

Yup, as far as I know, it's a new-ish site. The tackle stores probably just have not found this forum..... and if they have, they thing it would be more profitable to add some places else. IMO what sponsors look for is if the board has a lot of members, and that's something this one dose not have a whole lot of. Sponsors don't care if we have good, active members, the could care less. They would rather have a site with 20,000 crap heads, rather than a site with 5,000 top noch members that know what they are talking about.

I hope you see where I'm coing from. I guess that possible sponsors just think that they could make a better profet elsewhere!

This is something you should not talk about. He could fill them easy and fast but I belive he is looking for sponsors he belives in. Not just some to fill space.

This is not our business, drop it!

CC,

Are you trying to be a jerkoff or are you just really stupid and don't understand that what you say could be offensive?

I was just trying to help, I though if we discussed the topic as a group maybe advertisers might see that and want to advertise on the forum page. Giving Kevin more income and keeping this sight up. Again I was not trying to be negetive.

no neither do i, i just think he is being misunderstood. or if he is being negative then i am misunderstanding him because i don't think he is talking bad about kevin or the site in this case.

i understand what he is saying to mean that he is surprised that a site that is based on bass fishing that has so many bass anglers on it doesn't have anymore sponsors buying advertising on it. and if that is the case then you have to keep in mind that he is new to the site and probably wasn't aware that the site just recieved a huge makeover and the advertising spots are pretty new. if i am right ccbass then just wait man, in time kevin will have all these blank spaces filled up eventually. but like mentioned above i am sure that he is only working with companies that sell products he believes in and it shouldn't be any other way.
