Unhappy awww crap

Went fishing yesterday and on a cast the sideplate on my Revo Priemere flew off and into the water. I would have went in after it but the bottom is so soft I would have sunk to my knees. Also the water was dirty and I couldn't see it. I fished around for it with a crankbait but no luck. I'll have to order a new one. I guess I got paid back for makin fun of Nofear the other day.

Now that will put a damper on things!!! Good lesson learned though for all of us. Keep the plate screws tight. Hope you can get a replacement cover soon.

That's a bummer. But how did it come off so easily? I'm not too familiar with Abu LP reels so forgive my ignorance.

Not sure but maybe from vibration in the bed of my pic up truck.

Bassinbandit had this happen with a Quantum. He called and ordered a new side plate, when it came they had sent a brand new reel.

Thanks Reb. That's just about how I sounded. E-mailed Abu. They responded saying it would cost about $20 for part and shipping. The bad news is it's not available until sometime in August. Might be looking for a decent reel to go on the gloomis crank rod.
