Default Super Thursday report

I really enjoyed the lack of wind and rain and cold today. Found a seam of black and silver and mined it a little today. Crappie are ready to bust and I am thinking Sunday will be the day. Today was steady with a 3 14 inch fish and 8 small cats.. Oh and we got 6 LGMouth as well. Had another 12 dinks released.
It was a super Thursday all in all.

Going out of Gravely Pt tomorrow. Working from north to south if the tide is right. Catching any quality bass by accident???

Text me if you have any thoughts of what I should concentrate on. I don't fish that area of the river this time of year.

The first and second pilling from the VA side of the rail bridge has some big smallies and LGmouth. I used a fire tiger bomber and picked off 10 fish once on those pillings.

The mouth of the Tidal Basin is always a great place to fish this time of year as well.

Over in the Washington Channel about 50 yards in the no-wake zone is a marked rock pile that has produced some big LGMouth on a Poes in shad colors.

That will keep you going a bit..

Thanks Mike. We did fish the Channel at the end of the day. Incoming tide all day had the fish a little confused. Rock pile was 8' deep when we got there. Did hit one short chunk on a trap. Could get bit on the deep diving crank. Caught half dozen bass total with best at 3.5lbs. Not bad for first time on the river this year. Spent most of the day just north of where you've been launching.
