Bottom Line Fishin' Buddy II stopped working
I know it's old but I really like my Fishin Buddy III. When I turned it on during my last trip to camp it went through self-test and then started beeping constantly. It continuously runs through depth ranges at the top of the screen next to the temp. It beeps every time it changes, Under self-test it reads 2118 0 and the self-test message doesn't go away. Won't turn off - have to pull the batteries out. Tried new batteries already. Suggestions?

If you install the unit in a hidden position behind the grill or under the bumper of your car with the transducer facing forward, it will cause most Law Enforcement Radars to read speeds all over the chart. Very entertaining howbeit illegal.

It has humidity in it. Open up and place in the sun a for a day.
Place one of those candy packets you get with new shoes or electronics inside before closing up. Capt Mike

Did you ever hear the story of the MRE's dropped in Afganistan from helo's to remote villages? Well the silca packs where in there to keep the food dry. The locals used them as salt and all got sick from it. The UN stopped the dropping of MRE's since they now used them to heat there homes and would not eat the food. Claimed we poisoned them.
