Just another fishing trip.

Ok, i went again today. Called up ol Gbassman and had him meet me at the launch. I put in at 5:45. trolled around a bit. Tried to start the outboard cause i wanted to go up rive to Jones Cove. DANG IT, switch fouled up. Too far from home now to turn back and jeremy is coming in an hour or so. So i started fishing right there. Tried the spinnerbait............nuthin. Tried the lizard..............nuthin. Winds started up and they were pulling water like crazy. So i put on Lisa's favorite bait. YEP............ the ol chrome blue back Rattle Trap. Yo-yoing it on the edge of the dying grass lines. Missed a couple then caught a nice 15 and a half incher. In da live well it went. Jeremy was waiting at the doc, so i go pick him up and we start fishing in the pads and grass lines. We threw flukes, spinners and traps. NUTHIN! they finally stopped pulling the water and we trolled up river a few hundred yards. Saw the bass hitting the shad up there. Threw the traps on the edge. Jeremy missed a couple but i caught 2 almost back to back. Then it ws time for Jeremy to go home (he workes graveyard shift and had ot hit the hay. So i trolled him to the dock and told him we'd hit it again sometime. I then trolled back to where we caught the 2 i had with the first one. NUTHIN for the next 2 hours. Winds got too hard for me. 20 mph and my trolling batteries are bout drained. So i loaded up and went home to fillet the 3. Got enough for a couple of dinners for me and Lisa. Not a bad day i think. Had a good friend fishing with me and caught some fish. A great day.

wtg bama! Sounds like a pretty fun day! Bass is really tasty a few times a month!

Keith is right, Bama! Remember how you were always talking about how I was killing you with good fishing pics and stories while you were landlocked? Well, I expect the favor returned, my friend.

Sounds like a good day though Bama. Better than sitting on the couch and watching hunting because I can't find a fishing show anywhere.
