Default 5 lbs and 20 inches long

I headed out to Guntersville today and this was the only fish I caught. Man I wish I knew that lake better.

I always put in at honeycomb that is where I missed my first one. Then I headed out towards the big lake and fished the rock wall on the left in about 8 feet of water. The one I got in the boat was a green spinner.

ok, well i am putting in a b b comer bridge, then may go down to south sauty. Heard the rattle traps were on fire. I am in a black cajun. I'll let you know how we do. Taking my brother and his son, meeting a friend and his partner.

You're not fishing in a bad spot anyway. That wall on the left as you exit honeycomb and also the backside of goat island have been productive for me in the past.

Guntersville takes some learning. I would tell you more if I knew more, but I have been on it as a newb before, gotten whipped, but I worked on it a little more and caught a few decent fish. Its not an easy lake to learn, but for those who take the time the rewards are immense.

Looks about to burst of eggs. Looks like the spawn won't be too much longer if it's not already going on for some fish.

Very nice fish. Extremely healthy. I bet she put up a good fight.

You know believe it or not I thought I was hung on something because it wasnt fighting much at all until I got it up to the boat then she swam stright down to the bottom and I was able to pull her right back up. It was a little disappointing that she didnt fight more.

Yea she may have only made one good run, but I'd like to see a 2lber run straight to the bottom pulling drag.

Any idea what the water temp was?? She is either full of shad or full of eggs.
