Hey! Nice bass buddy! Way to go. Hope he recovers ok. Even if he is blind in one eye, he will be just fine. That lateral line is like radar for bass. He'll grow up big and strong.

Nice fish!

I know of two Whispering Woods in MI - one is near Utica, and the other is near Oscota (googled that one) - which park was this?

Good fish man! Congrats! Caught her on a crank too, what kind? It'll be fine with one eye, I've caught loads of bass with a blind a eye.

Now that is what I am talking about. BTW nice haul. But about this statement quoted, that is awesome of you to share holes like this with people in your area. On the old MS fishing board, you would have got better results asking someone to borrow their wife and let you fulfill your childhood fantasy of mowing the grass and having the lonely housewife invite you in for lemonade & a lesson; then to get the location of a few places to fish. Kudos for that.

I used to live in Chesterfield but now I'm back on the westside near Spring Lake. Its a great area for bass fishing as I live less than a mile from the lower Grand River which has some of the best bassin in Michigan.

Why did you leave the bait in his eye? it would be better to leave him with a hole in his eye ball than to leave a crank bait stuck to his head for him to hang him self up. Its not a big deal im glad you caught a biggun.

That is a beauty. Seems like many folks are catching nice sized bass and that's a good thing. Congrats!

Tone it down a bit dude...

But he's right, it would have probably been better to take cut the hook off some how, or take it off the lure viva split ring......

I know you had the best of intentions, but the lure should have been removed.
