buying used pontoon boat
I would like to know what to look for in a used pontoon boat. A friend of mine is looking for one. He will be doing some fishing from it but nothing serious. I don't think he needs live wells or serious sonar. Mostly will be used for family outings. Thanks
Bob

I guess the biggest thing I would look for is leaky pontoons, deck integrity, and engine issues. I would think these would be the most costly repiars.

I'm with recon. Make sure there's no leaks, the engine is straight, and the deck isn't rotted....

You can find some good deals on pontoons in great shape. Their stability and size are awesome for fishing with kids.
