"Right reason" is all relative. I dislike the guy as an MMA fighter because he himself claims that he is not an MMA fighter. He became "famous" by beating up a bunch of nobodies in backyards. Yes, he is better shape than his videos on youtube. He would be stupid to have not gotten in better shape once Dana White agreed to let him on TUF. But he definitely needs to quit that "muscle" gig if he does make it in the UFC.

Are we still on for our bet? And if so, let's clarify exactly what the bet is and for what. I like betting the crank bait so what are the terms?

That will work for me. I'm looking forward to winning a new crankbait. I caught my fish fish on a crank tonight. Actually I caught 6 and lost 1. Not bad if I do say so myself.

I disagreed with the scoring of the fight, but wasn't surprised by it. It was a pragmatic decision. Wes is just not UFC material. He was BREATHLESS after about 60 seconds. Though he managed to keep the other guy at bay, he just doesn't have the conditioning to make it, and the judges penalized him for it. Not really fair, but that's what they do in the UFC.

I believe you are correct, however this is why I struggle with any sport involving judging.

UFC scoring is allegedly based on effective striking, grappling, takedowns and octagon control. Wes was better in those areas, hence he won... Conditioning is not in the scoring rubric.

Kimbo has an up hill battle now. While it wasn't a pretty victory for Big Country, Kimbo didn't show much at all once he was taken to the mat. His guard was easily passed and he was placed in the crucifix position twice.

The thing Kimbo should be most embarassed about is making fun of Roy being fat. Roy was never in any danger at all. He even got caught with two or three good shots and proved he could take a Kimbo punch. Apparently, washboard abs look good, but are no determinant of who is going to win a fight. The baddest man on the planet, Fedor Emilianenko isn't ripped, either.

Boy was I disappointed with that fight. IMO, the fight shouldn't have even been stopped. Roy wasn't interested in trying to hit Kimbo hard when he had the crucifix position. But I guess rules are rules and Kimbo was in a defenseless position. The preview of next week's episode has me hopeful for a "Kimbo Comeback", though!

The fight was alright Wednesday night, but I have totally lost any respect for Jackson. He just left his guy in the ring by himself after he lost. Rashad went to talk to the guy and offer comfort. Jackson can't coach. he is all about me me me. He picked what he thought were the biggest strongest guys but should have picked the fighters with some skill. I hope Jackson's team loses all the fights this season.

You're right about Jackson. Why anyone would think the man knows anything about leading and training a team is beyond me. Every guy he picked is doomed. This is shaping up to be just like Shamrock / Ortiz. Shamrock did a terrible job coaching and Ortiz (though I detest him as a person) did a great job.

These reality shows they've been pumping out are straight crap, with TUF being the only one I've seen thats remotely worth watching. Gotta give the Fertitas and Dana White credit creating the show for mainstreaming MMA to the masses. Best thing that ever happen to MMA was TUF.

That said, I only watch the last 15 minutes because I love MMA fights.

I tend to skip to the end as well.

I forgot to watch it last night but have it recorded. I heard that Jackson was no help again. I wonder when Kimbo is going to fight again and lose so I can collect on my crankbait.

I watched the fight last night on DVR and it definitely was disappointing. The big guy looked to be joking too much, like his size was all he needed. Jackson's last two "big" guys have been choked out. I said a few weeks ago that Jackson just picked the biggest guys there and it definitely shows. These guys have no skills and Rashad's team is just picking them apart. What is gonna stink is when Rashad runs the table on Jackson and his team members have to start fighting each other. That means some of Rashad's team will have to be "coached" by Jackson late in the show.

6-0

I guess "titties" was more than Jackson's fighter could handle.
Are we going to see Kimbo fight again? Is the tall big (no talent) ex-football player going to fight or quit because he gets winded during practice?

Tune in to Spike on Wednesday to watch Jackson go winless. Then the arguements will start between Rashad's team as to which fighters will be coached by Jackson for the remainder of the season.

Well it looks like Jackson's team finally won one. 1-7 is still pretty pathetic as a coach. I have to admit that Big Baby, the HUGE black ex-football player, is pretty good. I didn't think he would be able to do anything. The guy had no previous fighing experience but has learned quite a bit. He is towering and surprisingly agile for a big guy. He submitted a somewhat experienced UFC fighter rather quickly with an armbar that came out of nowhere, and I mean nowhere. It was awesome. I hope this guy goes far because he seems to learn quickly and looks like he would have some great knockouts and submissions.

Wafflejaw - it looks like I will win unless for some stupid reason they sub Kimbo in for someone.

While there is a chance that I may lose the bet to WaffleJaw, I hope that Kimbo replaces Matt Mitrione. Kimbo is not the guy who should replace him if he can't fight. There are at least 2 other guys that should fight instead of Kimbo. Heck, Kimbo lost to Roy Nelson for goodness sake...Roy Nelson?!?!?! But Kimbo will be the guy White chooses because he wants the ratings.

That being said, I think Kimbo will get killed by Big Baby Marcus Jones.

My prediction for next week is that Brendon Schaub wins by arm bar.
