Default Legos for fishing lures?

This was an Icast promoted lure.
The idea is good BUT...I don't see it holding up.
In the video the guy's making 'he says' musky setups.
I see one LM tail biter, hard set and reeling in half a lure.
Now the soft plastic pack maybe a better idea?

Anglers, what do you think?

Now this one I'M SURE one of you craftsman could rig up!

But again, what are YOUR thoughts on the 'idea'?

I love the idea of a crankbait with the ability to change lips for different diving depths. it would have to be of much higher quality than the stuff in the video.

A modular lip system would be an accomplishment for sure. Last year, I was trying to figure out how to make something like that work, but kept coming to one stumbling block:

We've all had cranks that just won't run straight, or even flip over if you pull them too fast. They have to be carefully tuned for proper action. Now imagine having to do that with a crank every time you change the lip.

I was also toying with the idea of an invisible lip, but couldn't find a suitable material to make it from (it was always far too dense, or far too weak).

Did something similar for bream! Had a fly popper with a wet fly tied on with 15 inches of leader. Used to catch dozens of bream doing this when I was little, darn near fool proof. Big bull bream would hit the popping bug, along with a few bass and bowfin. You'd catch fish of all sizes on the wet fly.... loads of em!

Sammy that's the way I learned popper fishing.
Every spring. Sometimes a dry fly, sometimes a wet, some times a fly fishing small popper trailer.
You are exactly correct. Deadly set up. Bedding bass or bedding bream.
But this one the line passes thru the popper allowing a weighted 'trailer'
We drop shot for crappie LONG before the bassers even knew or heard of such a rig not to mention the A-rig origins of multiple rigs attached together.

Some anglers live inside the box, some live outside the box and some re-invent the box.

It's been to many years since I fished for gills with poppers and flies.
