Default Cold weather bass

Here's a picture of a 6lber I caught in February one year. I was fishing a public lake that was trolling motor only. It was about an hour run to this part of the lake. I was fishing 10'-12' deep in the middle of the lake around wood structure with a Bill Norman crankbait. Fish weighed right at 6lbs. and was 22" long. As long as there's no ice on the water these fish will still bite! My buddy and I were the only ones on the lake that day.

Here's another cold weather bass I caught at "Paradise". Caught this bass on a jig. Fat little girl!

Nice Eric WTG!

We try to fish all year hear too, usually if there is ice on the lake in jan or feb we ice fish, but the bass can still be caught, just have to slow way down , they are sluggish

Bassthumb,

I did weigh it at the time and I think it weighed around 4.5lbs. Maybe 5. Can't really remember for sure. It was a butterball though!

I just noticed something about that last bass I posted. Check out his tail and then look at this fish my buddy caught this summer from the same pond. I think it's the same fish. It weighed 4.4 lbs this summer. I caught it in the other picture 2 1/2 years ago. I really think it's the same fish.

The wind chill was pretty cold that day. That's why the hood was up. It warmed up some later on. We didn't catch many fish that day but that one was worth the trip!
