Default Yearly Reminder

If you are storing rods and reels in a cold garage or other structure, be sure to not only loosen the drags for storage, but also loosen the reel seating device to avoid cracking as often the reel seat material and the reel foot do not contract and expand at the same rate, thus causing cracking. Good Fishing, Mac

Great advice. Myself, I sote my rods inside the house in a wooden stand my wife bought me several years ago. My garage can get very cold indeed when temps are well below zero. I can see where storing rods in that climate could be an issue.
