Default Serious underspin

Check out the Elite Bait Co. Triple Shad Elite Underspin Jig, (that's a mouthful.) It looks like it was loosely inspired by the A-rig.

I'm curious, how many of you use underspins or tail spins, and which ones you like? I grew up fishing Roadrunners but haven't used one in years. I bought some tail spins to try out this year and have a couple of different underspins I bought last year.

I fish underspins all fall. I am convinced that the smallies around here get conditioned to spinnerbaits but they just can't resist an underspin! I will be getting some of these.

I fish them.
I have better luck on smallies but catch LM too.

Blakemore roadrunners are my go too.
I like the horse-head. Seems to allow better blade movement.

I use them more of a 'finesse' spin.
Not really looking for reaction bite but more of a follow and commit type bait.
Works great in cold water when the fish are sluggish.

Have used in recent colored water as a search bait. (new flooded shores and creeks and such)
Trick to Blakemores is what they say, 'Fish them anyway....just not fast".
Great in dark water year round and they mimick baitfish better then hairpin spins. My opinion anyway.

Some know my favorite trailer...which incidentally I'm STILL LOOKING for more.

Now that rig you shared would make a great search bait but my fear is how much the spins may mess up after catching and fighting a fish back?
You may be switching spins a lot.

At nine bucks a pop that could prove to be a challenge

Here's it in action.

Thanks for the share Joe.
I think there's a place for it.

I've used the Swormin Hornet with some success. Those Trip[le Shad are interesting.

i think those things definitely get strikes, but i can see that most of them will have some hooking issues. but, you know the old saying, you do not have a chance to catch them until you get them to bite.

I haven't used an under spinner in a long time but a tail spinner like a Lil' George is a great bait for schoolers.
