Big fish moving up.......
Didn't get to fish this weekend but the Major did. He caught this 7.4 on a senko under a dock in 6-8' water. Unfortunately she died in the livewell. Got a pic Capt Mike style......
Another good fish caught this past week on Anna as well. Chris guides on Anna and runs a very good shop on the lake. This one came in just over 9lbs. And I just saw that this 27.86 limit was weighed in on the Potomac team tournament yesterday. Last edited by 3dkicker; 03-19-12 at 10:48 PM. |

Wow, very nice, those are some T-O-A-D-S! 9 lbs would be a state record here...

I've got a solution....but I understand. Get well and get out on the water. Spoke to a marina owner today and he said two bass over 7 were caught out of his creek alone this weekend. He's been on the lake since '72 when it was created and he's never seen them spawn this early.

It seems to be happening everywhere. We usually get flooded by the coonies from the marsh land around Mardi Gras and Fat Tuesday is usually the spawning mark. I went out and found a few empty beds while I was home and saw a few boats positioned on them. I called a buddy who lives on the lakes and he said they did the primary on the full moon in January. And another buddy of mine said he is seeing them around Calling Panther and Okhiss too. This is up to a month ealry.
I wish I would have took a pic of the bedman the other day and his boat. He has a 4' scaffold, Yamaha 40 and a power pole on a....14' john boat. He was serious about his bed fishing I take it. I guess he needs the big motor to keep the boat from flipping over forward, but I will bet a dime to a donut it is a tad over rated for that boat.
