some of you guys were asking me about fishing in iraq. well, i have heard about some soldiers catching fish on saddams pond but i will not have the chance to do any fishing there myself. i would like to thank everyone for their support and their offers to send me fishing gear.

Kyle, you are going to fit in great around here .

Where are you stationed or will you be stationed when you get back? You mention Fork so I'm guessing a Texas connection.

18.18 lbs. Caught by a guy fishing for crappie on a crappie jig-no kidding. It is both the lake and the state record.

Not to argue, but it aint Saddam's pond anymore. He can have it back, only if he's floating face down in it for over 3 days

Kyle, a couple of us are kicking around the idea of meeting up at Fork later this year-I think we have 3 boats-if we decide on a date and you are around you interested?

Not my fish, Kyle-came from the TPW website. According to that it is 15 1/2 pounds. I have never fished Fork, but sure would like to.

well, if for some reason i can't go with you guys to fork, i have always had a lot of luck in wolf creek. you can find it on the map. it all depends on where you launch your boat from though because some people don't like to make the haul all the way across the lake when there are so many other good spots to fish on fork. it is worth it to me though.
