Default oh man...not good

coming home from the lake sunday.. i come up on a crash site cops were every where, fire trucks, ect... as i slowed to a stop i sen two guys luggin the jaws of life toward the scene. NOT GOOD.. i got closer and seen a large bass boat laying in the middle of the street..oh ouch!! really NOT GOOD!!!.. as i was detoured around the wreck on the NARROW paved goat paths denton city calls streets. i did not learn much more..

later-last night- i was talkin to one of the fire squad about it.. he told me a "drunk woman" hit the boat at a high rate of speed slamming the boat THRU the cab of the truck sending the driver to baptist hospital in critcal condition.. the moter and transome was laying on the hood of the truck..the boat was 30 YARDS or so in front of the truck..the boat was a 20 foot ranger older model..

mind you the speed limit in this area is only 30 and an older ranger of that size weighs close if not MORE than a full size truck does..

Zook, I've been a vol fireman fo a long time and seen a lot of bad things. One time I assisted the coroner looking for a mans' brain on the highway. Many more. Anyone on here please don't drink and drive or let anyone else for that matter. I live right by a river and have looked for bodies of drowned people, drunk suicide, etc. I could go on. I have never, though, been at an accident where a trailered boat has been in play. Hope he does ok.

I hope and pray everybody is okay. Sad to hear.

My day didn't start out that well either. This morning on my way to work I was behind a box truck and it decided to try and drive through a breaking Eclipse. I had to dodge debris on as the back end blew apart. I had to swerve 2 lanes to miss everything. I guess the only good thing is a cop had another accident right where this one happened.

A local highschool down here has a totally twisted and totalled truck just sitting on their school lawn as a reminder to all the new drivers what happens when you drink and drive.

I love to have a beer now & then. But i don't drive if i even have just 1. I usually wait till i get home & the kids are bed to do that. If you know you need to drive anywhere. Do us all a favor don't drink till you get home. After you've had drink don't risk getting in the car.

DITTO MOOSE. Stay sober if you are planning to drive a car or boat.

yeah ill pray for the victims.... this just shows that when a crash happens with a boat the straps on the back are just there to make you feel good..... i know someone who had a crash with his boat and the boat ended up 20 yards in front of the truck...

sad sad story tho....
