Default Well I said I would never own one, but.........

I have been looking around for a few months now for a good shaky head rod. I have said since they first came out and had a lot of trouble with them breaking that I would never own a Carrot Stix rod. Well yesterday I had to eat my words when I laid my hands on the new Carrot Stix Black Wild rods at Bass Pro. I got the 7' ML rod and it is an amazingly light rod with the perfect power and action for shaky heads. I carried it around forever while checking out other rods just begging for one to feel better than the Carrot Stix so I could keep my promise to never buy one, but alas it was the best feeling rod I found in the store. It's a good looking rod too if you can get past the butt ugly green EVA butt cap. I was going to build my shaky head rod but with the house being built and us leaving for Shreveport in a few weeks I wasn't sure I could have it done in time for our first tournament so I decided to just buy one instead. While I was there I picked up another Luck E Strike RC STX jerkbait in Pro Blue, 2 Spro Mcsticks in Blue Bandit and Spooky Shad, 2 Rogues in chrome with blue back and chrome with black back, and a lot of stuff to make Jika rigs.

Yeah I was really turned off by the green butt cap. But I also must say that although I still don't really like it, it has grown on me a little bit.

They are nice, light good for bitsy bug or shakey head, just dont load it up with a two handed powercast with anything that weighs anything.
I use mine for horny toads as not quite nuff backbone and anything over 4 back in the pads it wont generally get to the boat, less weight they come out but best used in semi open water dont own the new one just the old one and one was enough
Their warranty was lacking something like 38 dollars and return the broken rod to them.Or they will say take to nearest dealer who will say I just bet they did.
