Default 7-6-07 8lb lunker

Hey Y'all,

Took one of my other neighbors out tonight. Right off the bat at 7:19pm and 7:24pm i caught two 3.5lbers on a jitterbug. Later i switch to some wieghtless Edge dingers and caught a few dinks. I finally told him that i want to move up the lake a little more where a stump field and grass flats meet and drop off. Well after 2 casts i landed this 8lb lunker. Tossed him back to fight another day. BTW i caught him at 8:50pm

This fish went under 8lbs, my guess is you need a new scale:

And this one is under 7 lbs:

Just trying to help you out, not criticizing.

there is no way anybody can tell the weight of a fish from a picture...too many factors involved..its a nice fish no matter what it weighs...

Y'all I have better things to lie about than the weight of a fish. Im telling you what the scale said. The guy that i fished with is a pro angler and he even agreed with the weight. I took the pics with my cell phone and the pics really do not do her justice on her size. Im about to get a new digital camera that will soon be coming along for the picture taking. Next time i wont burden y'all with the pics of the bass i catch so i dont waste everyones time.

i didn't say you lied i said your scale is off.you really don't need to have an attitude seeing as everyone still said it's a nice fish.a 8lb fish is at least 24 inches long and FAT.DID YOU MEASURE IT?

An 8 pound fish can be 22 inches depending on where you live, how fat the fish is and a lot of other things. I just caught an 8 that was 23.5 inches long, but it's girth is 17.75 inches around.
Gatrapper every time you get a BIG fish like that you should measure it, so you can put it in formulas to caclulate the real size of a fish because digital scales aren't that great.

Who cares whether or not the fish was 8 lbs, all that matters is that its a beautiful bass, big, and that you had fun catching it. I seriously doubt you'd lie about the fish, just check the scale, it could really hurt one day if you dont have an acurate scale, not saying its not accurate, just check and find out for future reference, and taking measurements is also a good idea when you can.

your scale sucks, the fish was ugly, and your hat is broken (its crooked in the picture).........oh yeah, can't forget the booger hanging out of your nose in the picture.

now forget what I just said and go catch some more hawgs, after all, its what we go fishing for right?
