Default Daiwa Zillion - Awesome Deal at Gander!!

I went on the sportsmans shopping trip yesterday, and ended up at Cabela's, BPS, Gander Mountain, and Jann's Netcraft... Walked into Gander minding my own business, and then went to the reel case and see they have Zillions - both righty and lefties marked down to $199.

I saw another sign in the store that said take an extra 25% off of clearance prices in the store. So i asked somebody in the fishing dept. if the Zillions were an extra 25% off as well. He called a manager and they told me they were! So that took the price down to $149.

I then had another $10 off coupon, and got two 7.1:1 Zillions for $139 each...

You may want to check your local Gander for deals as well.

Ryan

Wow, that is a great deal! I got 2 of them last year at that same sale for $189 each and I thought I was doing good. They had some Steez reels there too for $299 but when I went back to get some they were gone.

Do you know if they've got the 4.9:1 Crazy Cranker or just the 6:1 and 7:1 versions of the reel?

And that would be the baitmonkey calling me... I do have a couple hours before my next class, I could make it to Gander and back... hmm...

Bender, the Steez for $300 is a great deal, and I'd pick one up if I had the money... I've just started to see price getting back to usual over the last couple months on used ones after Gander sold them for $300 last year, lol.

The only ones they had were the 7.1:1 in left and right handed.... I was also looking for the Crazy Cranker.

They also had the old Citica D for $60 with the discount, and a Pflueger Asaro for cheap as well.

Yeah, It turns out the CC they had on sale online was only RH even though the specs said left. I'm glad somebody confirmed that on TT before I ordered one. Not quite $140 for a new Zillion, but a good deal at like $195 with the $20 off online coupon.

Well, I stopped in at Gander after my classes today, but couldn't bring myself to buy the 7.1:1, even though $150 was a great deal! I just can't justify that right now since I need the 4.9:1 CC and will probably need a spinning reel before spring.

And I'll tell you what, they're moving everything around and doing inventory, so Gander is a mess. I looked around a bit for any good sales before I left.

I sent my buddy to the one in Hattiesburg, MS and he said they quit carrying them last season. I noticed that this year they had a core on sale in a case for months for 240. But the reels topped out at Curados and Revo SX on the display. So no silly zilly for Bub.
