Smile Thought I'd share

Some of you know my pond fishing stories and how I encourage the delinquents to show respect for each other and the community.

I probably mention a young man named 'Hunter'
This one is not a delinquent and actually a true sportsman.
His father is too. Good strong family.
Anyway last year he asked me to teach him jigging. So his dad got their little boat with a trolling motor on and hunter and I went out and did some jigging.
I gave him four Terminator Finesse Jigs, 1/4 oz. and some Rage Chunks.
Kid prefers baitcasters so showing him wasn't much of an effort.
We had fun and we fished the River for Smallies together last year a couple of times too.
So opening day while I was fishing Delavan he and his father fished the pond cause they Turkey Hunted in the morning.

Saw him at the pond tonight and he said he couldn't find any more Terminator jigs and wanted to know where he could get some more.
Terminator changed the jig but I told him where to get the old version.
He said he was desperate cause he only had one left. (Which he had tied on one of his rods last night)
And then he told me what he caught on it.

The rest of the story you can read.

Hunter and his father thanked me numerous times last night.
Told Hunter that maybe I shouldn't of told him where to shop!

Great Story, Great Fish, very happy for Hunter. Sad ending, Joe,maybe you could try to impress upon the Father and Son the benefits of replica mounts.

Ya Toney I agree.

But the shop owner is an idiot too.
The trout he talks about....reads to many magizines instead of actually having a clue or experience.
The trout are a minmum length of nine inches at release and are sterile.
The bass are big because there are TONS of Bluegill along with perch and Bass younguns. California has 20lb bass that eat 9-12 baits...NOT WISCOSIN.
Idiots wife works for the paper hence he gets published.

He told Hunter that it would probably not live through the summer due to age and that it's spawning days were over.

WHAT AN IDIOT!
Like he has any clue how old it was or how long it will live.
Plus the females lay eggs till death.
Did I'm mention that he's an IDIOT?

His sister got a Ten Point Buck this year too.

Joe, I was thinking that if that fish only layed eggs one more time, that would still be of a great benefit to the pond she was caught in. Fish with the genetics to get to that kind of weight are special and should be treated as such. I don't want to sound like I am coming down on Hunter or his Father, I think they were the victims of some bad information, and made the best decision they could with the information they had available. They may not even be aware of replica mounts.

Shop owner should know better.
