Bob's Bumble Bee Bass Magnet!!!
Any good fly fisherman should match the hatch. In the heat of the summer the Fly rod has more advantage. Scaling down is the key. This is my hottest producer in the 90 degree heat. This Bee is tied on a size 10 dry fly hook. The hook shank is spinned with red antron dub. The legs are living rubber. The bee bodies are premaid by Rainy's. The hackle is cree hackle. I got this hackle from Freemans Fur & Hackle on ebay. Cast the Bee out. Once it's out give the Bee a 10 sec. pause. Then pop it 2 to 4 times with a 2 sec pause in between each pop. After that recast in another spot & repeat until it get's hit.

I throw this on a 6Wt E-Glass Fenwick. My biggest this year caught was 4 and 1/2lbs. But i've faught 2 fish that i didn't land i know that were bigger then that. That's really not a bad average for a Missouri bass either. The fly it self can last all day in many cases. Foam body fly's survive alittle better. But i have to admit after 5 or 6 fish being landed the hackle takes a beating. It's a very inexspensive fly to make around 1.50. 2.50 if it is was baught at any fly shop.
