These pics extend from peak spawn, all the way up to this weekend where it appears most fish are now post spawn and will hit anything.
Heres the pics.... The biggest 6.5 lbs ![]() A 2lbs'er throwing a chatter bait ![]() An 18" Peacock with a baby bass DT9 crank ![]() A 4lbs'er spitting the hook at the boat ![]() Not sure how big ![]() Blue on Black JNP ![]() Just looks cool ![]() My second biggest fish of the month. 5lbs 10oz.... ![]() Theres a one pound male just to the right of these fish (use it for size comparison) ![]() Gotta wonder what the carp was thinking when 3, 5lbs bass were staring at it at the same time. ![]() By the way I didnt fish for any of the bedding bass. I let them spawn in peace. Hope you enjoy the pics -J

Thanks for the complements.
Those are all my buddy's fish. Were about neck in neck this year in terms of numbers of fish, but hes got me by 8oz with that fish in the first photo. Any time he hooks a fish, I drop what Im doing and start shooting. -J

Texasbasser: Im using a Canon A85 on the generic "action" setting with the highest resolution it can do (4 megapixels).
I really want a Pentax so I can get some underwater shots. Theres some ledges we fish that drop from 7 ft down to over 20ft. It would be cool to try and shot the ledge right before we pass over it. The lake I fish has really clear water this year due to the lack of any big storms.

those are some very nice shots of those fish.....but as you said.."i drop what i'm doing and pick up the camera"....that's the ultimate sign of a true fishing partner when "we" do that.....hehehehe....the only difference in you and i on that one is that i'm not stopping until it's in the boat to click click....hehehehehe.....who know's i could be hooking my "big" one in that time......but you go buddy.....excellent camera work.....

Thanks again for the complements.
Havent been out fishing much as my buddy's wife is keeping him grounded. As in "you gotta clean the garage" grounded. My kayak plus heavy wind equals no fishing.

Man JRL, those are some nice pics. I agree that they are the best pics that i have seen on this site. They look like they could be in a magazine. The one spitting the chatterbait is awesome as it has happened to everyone on here once or twice im sure. Keep it up.
