Default Abu Garcia Revo S, or Shimano Cititca 200 E?

Hey, I'm wanting to get a new reel, My price range in 80.00 - 130.00. And I've heard great thing about these two reels (Abu Garcia Revo S, and Shimano Cititca 200 E). So now I'm here wondering which one to get, they are both the same price range. I don't wanna go with the SX just yet because it's the price it is (180). And I don't wanna go with a curado for the same reason.

Anyways, which do you guys think I should go with?

btw, it'll be for a pretty much all purpose reel, worms, small swimbaits, spinnerbaits, lip less cranks, etc.

Thanks guys!

I still haven't had the chance to use my citica as much as I'd like to, but from what I have, I'd have to have Revo S. I can definatly notice the Citica only has like 3 ball bearings. I know 8+ is overkill, but I'd atleast like 5-6.

IMO, Daiwa makes the best lower end reels. (120 and below)

I asked the same question.http://www.bassfishin.com/bassfishin...688#post241688

As for me, I plan on going with the revo s, but from what I hear they are both great.

I think it is personal preference. I have not tried the Citica E, but I have a couple of the last model. They were just OK until I did a 2 minute swap of the bearings to higher end ones, now they are great reels. I have a Curado E and really like the frame size, which is the same as the Citica E.
I had a Revo SX and hated it, I just could not get it dialed in right so after a month of screwing around I got rid of it.
You will probably get the exact opposite story from the next guy, my partner uses all Revos and loves them. That's why I say between those two it is just a matter of preference.

I have two citicas and love them, they are way smooth, as for the revo s, the drag is pretty respectable, but I just love how the citica and curado e feel in hand, they are so dang small and comfertable, not to mention light.

I've bought a bunch of stuff off eBay, and never had a problem. You just need to find a credible seller with say 97% positive feedback, and a lot of it.

I have both reels you mentioned. The Citica is the older model. I like them both. Although for me the STX is the ultimate of all the reels I own. But now I have to fish a season with my Mg50 and maybe that might change.

I looked at the STX's on ebay, found two lefties for 110.00.... that was fast!

Now all I need is about 200.00$ for the rod (BPS Bionic blade), reel and other stuff

I've had 3 Revo S's for over a year and I like them. I recently bought 2 Revo SX's and I like them too. I really can't tell much, if any difference between the two. They're both smooth.

I have had the Revo S and I do own the Citica E. Do not confuse the Citica D with a Citia E.They are 2 entirely different reels other that wearing the Citica Name.

The Citica E is alot of bang for the buck. The Revo S does everything well but the Citica E does everything better than the Revo S can. As previously mentioned, its more comfortable to fish with all day than the Revo S was.P N J

Your Pflueger Presidents are like your Revo SX,They are fine until you get the backlash from hell when you least expect it. !!!Its a whole lot cheaper to get giant backlashes with the president than with the SX unless the prices have changed ? P N J

I see I am to late .Anyways good luck and if you don't like them as I didn't seem to, There is one in every crowd who will jump at the chance to buy them.
